Protecting Napier’s cultural and natural heritage
As a membership organisation, the Napier Heritage and Conservation Body is administered by a committee which is elected at the Annual General Meeting in May every year. The committee meets monthly to discuss relevant heritage and conservation matters, and committee members report back on their portfolios. Committee members are also delegated to represent the Napier Heritage and Conservation Body on various local organisations such as CAM’s Ward Committee for Ward 1 and the Napier Residents Association, as well as heritage organisations from surrounding towns.
Both the NHCB Committee and its members are committed to upholding a high standard of conduct and ethics as enshrined in its Constitution and Code of Ethics.
The Napier Heritage and Conservation Body provides guidelines for homeowners, buyers, and developers around heritage and conservation issues relating to Napier. It also provides input on all of Napier’s building plans submitted to the Cape Agulhas Municipality within the heritage precinct and for buildings older than 60 years.
All relevant documents can be found on the Cape Agulhas Municipality website.
The NHCB takes no responsibility for any outdated or incorrect information.
